A safer starting point for junior tournament data

The product decisions an organiser should make before collecting names, scores or public results for children.

Keep an adult in the loop

A child should not need their own account or email address to join. The organiser, coach or guardian should hold the record and decide what is visible.

Use the minimum public name

A public table can usually use a first name and initial, team nickname or another approved display name. Do not publish contact details, medical information or a child's location.

Limit the scoring controls

Give scoring access to named staff and helpers. A public board should show the result, not expose the controls that change it.

Follow your safeguarding policy

Trophy cannot replace the club's safeguarding lead, risk assessment, photography rules or governing-body guidance. Read the full Keeping kids safe policy and use your organisation's reporting route for a concern.
