Explain the points once
Make the scoring rule part of the join screen. In the usual individual-points format, your personal total is the points your side wins, not simply whether your pair won the game. Use the same explanation on the board and in the briefing.
Draw in public
People trust a rotating schedule they can see. Reveal the next round together, show the court and the partners, and give the table a clear timestamp so the next draw never feels mysterious.
Leave room for the last ball
A small buffer is worth more than one extra round. Build in time for a late ball, a disputed point and the moment everyone wants a photo when the champion is clear.
